Here are 8 easy-to-make detox drinks that everyone should try, at lease once:

1. Apple Cinnamon Detox Water

Add a slice of apple, preferably thinly sliced and a cinnamon stick in water and refrigerate it for some time, approximately an hour, before consuming. Powdered cinnamon may clog the water so cinnamon sticks work better.

Cinnamon traditionally helps boost metabolism, while apples have nutrients that help decrease the risk of heart diseases and diabetes.

 2. Strawberry, Mint and Watermelon Detox Water

For this drink, you first need to cut the watermelon in cubes and slightly mash them and slice the strawberries in half. Then add approximately 4 small cups of slightly mashed watermelon cubes, one small cup or half a pint of sliced strawberries and six sprigs of fresh mint to water.

The health benefits of lemon are well-known. What people don’t always realize is that ginger helps with both, pain relief and detoxification. You can add honey to the mixture to help with the taste.

 6.Detox Iced Green Tea

Make a cup of hot green tea by adding a bag of green tea into boiling water. Let the green tea chill for 5 minutes. As your green tea is cooling down, slice two strawberries, a lemon and a cucumber.

Add the two sliced strawberries with sliced lemon and two slices of cucumber in the tea. Add a teaspoon of honey or stevia in the mix and enjoy the tea. If the tea still feels warm to taste, you can add ice. In case strawberries are not available, you can use only lemon and cucumber as well.

 8. Orange Lemon Cucumber Detox Water

This is truly a detox drink as it helps cleanse the liver due to the presence of Vitamin C rich oranges and lemons. Orange and lemon also help in flushing out toxins from the body, while cucumber helps with bloating. For a cooling effect you can add mint leaves too, and mint also aids digestion. Slice two oranges, one lemon and a cucumber and add them to a pitcher with a handful of mint leaves.
